Sunday Morning Blues – Sam Taylor and the East End Love

Fine bloggers, meet Sam Taylor and the East End Love.

Sam Taylor is a skilled singer-songwriter-guitarist and seasoned performer with mad guitar chops and a voice like salty butter. My personal favourite is “Loaded Gun”. Head on over to Sam’s CBC Music profile to give the studio version a listen. Then, check out a live performance by Sam and his band the East End Love (featuring The Danger Bees front man David Macmichael and Jace Traz) at Toronto’s Relish Bar & Grill. Those are some tasty guitar chops! Word on the street is Sam has a grungy blues-rock EP in the works which should be on iTunes before Christmas. In the meantime, he can be found performing in various venues throughout Toronto and Southwestern Ontario, including a gig with John Till (guitarist for Ronnie Hawkins, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan) at the London Music Club on December 8th. In the meantime head on over to the YouTube channel to check out more originals and covers, including footage from the band’s November 1st show at the El Mocambo.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled, folks. I have a hunch that Sam Taylor will come to be synonymous with the best of Canadian blues.
